Game Review: Wii Sports Resort
My shoulder hurts. It’s probably the number one reason why I find william hill online to be one of the more realistic sports games I’ve ever played. The pain I feel in my shoulder is similar to the pain I experience after a round of frolf. Is that sad? Disc golf is just one of the two dozen plus games offered on Wii Sports Resort. There’s bowling, golf, ping pong, archery, canoeing, water skiing, and more. And most of the games offer multiple variations. The key to the game is the Wii Motion plus. It’s a piece of hardware that connects to the bottom of the traditional remote. It’s probably what the Wii was supposed to be when it was initially released, but the technology wasn’t there yet. Now, instead of just tracking motion up and down and left and right, the game can sense when you turn your wrist. This makes games like frolf and bowling and ping pong just about as realistic as they get. If you’ve got a Wii, I’d suggest you get this game. But if you do, be sure to the get the new version of the game that comes with the second Wii Motion Plus. For someone reason, the first release of the game included just one, which didn’t make much sense. You can order the new version on Amazon for about 70 bucks. It’s worth it. And my next Wii purchase? I’d expect it to be the New Super Mario Bros. I’ll let you know how that game plays as soon as I get my hands on it!

The Full Tilt Poker story nears its end
The Full Tilt Poker story nears its end Choose your language Tuesday, Oct 11, 2011 Home > Poker Strategy > Articles > The Full Tilt Poker story nears its end by Tuesday,20 Sep 2011 Full Tilt Poker are on their way to the final crisis as controversy after controversy dogs them to the end There seems to be no end to the free fall that the once mighty poker site Full Tilt has fallen into. After Black Friday Full Tilt saw their business devastated with the loss of their American market. After making a deal with the US Department of Justice (DoJ) where they agreed to pay back their former clients in the US Full Tilt reneged claiming not to have the money. This led to them having problems with the Alderney Gambling Control Commission (AGCC) leading to their poker license being suspended and a hearing is just around the corner to find out whether their license will be renewed by the AGCC. That hearing will take place on the 19th of September and it is highly unlikely that there will even be a viable company for the license to be granted to, should the AGCC move in favour. In this train wreck of a case things have gone from bad to worse, the case on the 19th is generally presumed to be the tipping point. The lawyer for Full Tilt and the several companies who run the site has been Jeff Ifrah and his associates until now, though there has been a growing amount of rumours as to whether he continues to represent the firm which in turn has led to speculation as to whether there is any money left in the company to pay them with. After releasing a statement on their finances in August the site claimed that they had been the victims of a massive financial fraud to the tune of $42 million by one of their payment processors. They also claimed that seizures by the DoJ accounted for over $115 million. This explanation satisfied few in the industry amongst players and pundits alike who reckon that hundreds of millions of dollars have been made by the site over the years of its operation. That Full Tilt Poker currently has no money is not in dispute but what happened to all of the money is a question that has yet to be answered to the satisfaction of players who have yet to come to terms with the loss of all their money. The hearing on the 19th is stated as being public but after the hearing, held in July which was also publicised as public was quickly held behind closed doors there is little faith that the 19th of September will shed any more light on the situation.

Winslow puts online poker on the debate
Winslow puts online poker on the debate Choose your language Tuesday, Oct 11, 2011 Home > Poker News > Winslow puts online poker on the debate by Sunday,9 Oct 2011 There is good news for online poker fans in Massachusetts as online poker is on the table for debate Things are looking up for those who enjoy online poker in Massachusetts as their representative, Daniel Winslow, introduces a new amendment to a bill that would see more gambling in the state. The amendment would see the state gaming commission called upon to “establish a committee to analyze and develop recommendations and model legislation” as well as “include an analysis of applicable federal and state law,” in a report that would need to be ready by July 2012.The amendment is a very small, though potentially significant half page addition to a bill that is already 164 pages long. The majority of the bill details very carefully how the state will implement live casino gaming rather than facilitate gaming online. The amendment was probably kept short on purpose so as not to affect the way any of the state representatives are likely to vote. The bill was in fact passed by the House with a massive margin at 123-32 and now has to be ratified by the state senate. The bill is to be discussed by the senate at the end of September. For internet poker to be legalised in the Massachusetts area all that has to happen now is that the senators pass the bill in full without referring to Winslows half page addition. There is still a long way to go before online poker becomes state law. This is particularly because the bill goes through the conference phase that ensures the bill passed by the senate is the same as that passed by the House. The governor will still have to agree to the plan as will the legislature ensuring that there is a lengthy process ahead for those who enjoy online poker in the Bay State with pundits expecting that not before 2013 will players be able to take to the virtual felt if at all. Many fans of the game will take it as a victory that the introduction of online poker is even up for debate. In the past 10 years there have been attempts to introduce legislation for online gaming into other bills that have fallen flat and even discussion of it was considered taboo. The truth of the matter is that regardless of what the state decides the real decision is going to depend on what happens in Washington DC as lawmakers are already debating whether or not to maintain the nationwide ban still in effect.

Zynga confident of success with AT&T in new venture
by Sunday,14 Aug 2011 In its first partnership with a mobile provider, Zynga has teamed up with AT&T to provide services for their android Zynga Poker just keeps going from strength to strength as they sign a new contract with AT&T to provide a multitude of games to their wireless customers. Zynga started out as the Facebook application that allowed users to play poker without breaking the anti-online gaming laws enacted by the United States. The fact that Zynga managed to establish a way for their customers to gamble ensured that they were able to grow and branch out into other forms of gaming leading them to the position that they are now in. The fact that players were unable to win any real money prizes by playing on the application didnt stop them from signing up and catapulting Zynga to success. The deal between Zynga and AT&T represents the first of its kind between a wireless operator and the games company though many argue that it simply makes good sense. With android phones and the iphone becoming the most common phones in the market place providing games to customers as part of the network provides a massive enticement to customers to stay with AT&T as well as a great way to attract new ones to the AT&T android phone. The products provided by Zynga will include the same kinds of products that the firm currently provides online but on the AT&T android that is to be released later in 2011. The specifics of the deal are that by buying an AT&T phone the customer will be provided with free credits in order to play Zynga Poker as well as receiving content that has been specially styled for them. In this way AT&T together with Zynga hope to be able to provide an interactive experience that cant be matched by other phone companies. According market research conducted in the United States, one in five Americans has played a mobile, social game in the last 3 months. Zynga and AT&T are looking to take a massive chunk out of an already huge market in order to deliver greater value for money and therefore a new option to US cell phone customers. It is likely that this deal merely marks the beginning of the synthesis between social media applications and mobile phone products. With customers being able to stay online constantly we should expect to see a whole range of new partnerships between games companies and mobile phone providers in the near future.

Full Tilt Poker maintain their gaming license
by Tuesday,23 Aug 2011 In the wake of Black Friday Full Tilt Poker have slid further and further down the totem pole Full Tilt Poker have paid off the 250,000 that was outstanding for their online gaming license to the regulator the Alderney Gambling Control Commission (AGCC). This means that the poker website could now be a more attractive prospect for investment, or at least that was the thinking behind the AGCCs decision to allow them to continue negotiations with a consortium of European businessmen who are interested in buying the crippled poker giant. The roots of Full Tilt Pokers demise lie in the events that occurred on April 15th 2011 also known as Black Friday. On this day the United States Department of Justice (DOJ) swooped down the top three online poker companies in the world and ejected them from the US market by freezing their bank accounts and their URLs preventing them from operating in the United States. In the wake of these measures the poker firms, Full Tilt, Poker Stars and Absolute Poker were forced to comply with the demands of the DOJ which included repaying their American clients all of the money that they had in their accounts and not marketing themselves in the US. In contravention of this deal Full Tilt Poker failed to pay back their former clients in the US and ended up having their gaming license suspended by the AGCC as a result. The public hearing in the swanky Belgravia neighbourhood of London was supposed to be a full and frank discussion of the issues affecting Full Tilt Poker but instead turned into a farce when the hearing was put behind closed doors after a request by the full Tilt lawyer. As things stand the website has until September to secure a bid for their site from this European consortium behind closed doors. What has really made Full Tilt Poker a source of ire for the online gaming community is that when the AGCC suspended their license they stopped trading and ensured that every single player was unable to gain access to their money wherever in the world they were located, regardless of the laws of their country. Other poker rooms, such as William Hill Poker have been seeing a lot of new players coming to them since the collapse of Full Tilt Poker with the William Hill brand proving a strong incentive to players looking for a safe place to put their money while they play poker.
